THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® was created by Marita Villafuerte-Pierce, an entrepreneur-turned- educator.
In 1998, she began to write THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® Lesson Themes which are better described as Life Principles to guide every learner for successful living.
New lessons are always added in THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® to keep it relevant.
The Homeschool version of the curriculum is currently being completed.
The Life Empowered Program for Professional Development is also being completed.

Inspired from her years of Bible education, Marita realized that the best teacher model was Jesus Christ Himself, the only one who claimed to BE The TRUTH personified. Of all professions, He chose to BE a Teacher while on earth.
The initial lessons of THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® were first introduced in Sunday School at Word International Ministries, Makati City, Philippines, where Marita was head of the Children’s Church. She presented all original lessons with practical life activities that effectively transformed the life of the children. The customized curriculum was specifically geared to meet the needs of the children in the church, as well as address the challenging issues involved in child-training of the parents.
In the same year, she began to develop THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® Teacher-training program. the most important source of effective teaching is the teacher. The origin of the word “Teacher” comes from the Anglo-Saxon word that means, “One who shows the Truth.”
A special Life POP program was also developed to equip the Parents, most important steward and trainer for the children. POP stands for The Power of Parents.
In 1999, Marita embarked on a series of school tours all over Manila, Philippines to conduct a survey on the state of education of the country. With her findings, she continued to formulate THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® Life Basics Academic Program for schools.
THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® Life Basics Academic Program was first implemented by Preppi School Foundation, Inc., a school that Marita established in Pasig City, Philippines in 2001. THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® was first featured on the Preppi School Foundation, Inc. website in 2001. [www.preppischool.com]
Marita made a debut introduction as an educator through her ‘I AM A CHILD” Parent Enrichment Seminars, Teacher-training Programs and Children’s Creative Workshops.
She did yearly stints as a lecturer-trainer from 1998 up to 2005. Her last Philippine seminar in 2005 before she left for the United States to pursue her Master in Education was attended by 700 participants composed of parents, teachers and school owners.
Marita represented the Philippines and introduced THE TRUTH CURRICULUM® The Power of Telling True Stories at the World Forum on Education in 2005 and at the International Readers’ Congress by the International Reading Association.
